Winnie the Pooh is a classic baby shower theme, and is especially appropriate for the mother-to-be who is decorating her nursery with the storybooks’ characters. Instead of simply buying invitations and decorations with printed images of Winnie the Pooh and other characters from “The House at Pooh Corner,” use ideas and images from the book to make your own invitations, decorations and food inspired by the stories.
Pooh Baby Shower Invitations: Invitations
Use rubber stamps of classic Winnie the Pooh images, as drawn by Ernest Shepard. The image of Pooh trying to touch his toes with a belly full of honey, for example, is a humorous choice for shower invitations. The mother Kanga and her baby Roo are natural choices as well. Stamp your chosen image on heavy card stock and use glittering gold–or the colour of your choice–embossing powder to raise the design up from the card. Choose a favourite quote from the books to hand-script below the image, and print all the details of the celebration on the back of the card.
